Rebecca Romijn (born in New York City) is an American model and actor who is best known as the actress of Mystique The main character from the first of three episodes of X-Men. Romijn also appeared in an additional Marvel superhero film called 'The Punisher In which she played Joan. Romijn began her modeling career when she was 16. Since then, she has appeared in major magazines such as Christian Dior Sports Illustrated and Victoria's Secret. She spent more than a decade as a model for big fashion houses. In the end, she left this line of work in order to pursue an acting career. Romijn's career in Hollywood is not as successful like her work on television. She portrayed "Alexis Mead" in the comedy-drama "Ugly Betty", and then played the character of "Jessie Nichols" in NTSF: SD: SUV.
