Maureen FitzSimons's early accomplishments in the arts of performing, and which are now known to be Maureen O'Hara, would certainly be a qualifier for her place in the "child prodigy" category. But for a person with Irish background, surrounded by talented parents and family members, they had innate talents. Maureen entered this loving haven within Ranelagh, Ireland on August 17th 1920. Marguerita Lu. FitzSimons was a successful contralto. Charles FitzSimons was a successful businessman from Dublin who also owned a piece of the Irish Shamrock Rovers soccer team. Maureen was the second of six FitzSimons children - Peggy, Florrie, Charles B. Fitzsimons, Margot Fitzsimons and James O'Hara completed this beautiful family. Maureen enjoyed playing sports as a kid and excelled at sports. In addition to this, she had a gift to act. In the end, she received almost all of the Feis Awards for acting and dramatic performances in her home country. At the age of 14 she enrolled in at the Abbey Theater to follow her goal of studying operatic and classical vocals.
