Alexandra Raisman

Aly Raisman is a gold-medal-winning Olympic gymnast who captained the U.S. team to victories in the years 2012 and 2016. Six of her Olympic gold medals form part of a record-breaking collection. She was also the winner of two World Championships teams. Born in Needham, Massachusetts, Aly's love for the sport can be traced to a "mommy & me" gymnastics class she attended as a baby of 18 months. Aly Raisman is a defender of body positivity, an inspiration both on and off the ground, and also spoke about Larry Nassar during his sentencing hearing. Aly Raisman was born in 1994 and began her gymnastic career very early in her age. She was a part of to help the U.S. Gymnastics Team win the 2011 World Championships. In 2012, the gymnast won two golds at the London Olympics One at the team event and another in individual floor exercises as well as winning a bronze in the beam. Raisman was awarded silver medals in both the floor and individual finals of the 2016 Olympics at Rio. In addition, she took home the gold medal from the team gymnastics competition. Raisman disclosed in 2017 that she had been sexually assaulted by a former team doctor Larry Nassar.
